The Paratroopers St Michael Prayer

Lord God, hear my call, as through the sky I fall.
Satan you once were cast from here.
My static line have hooked to hold,
and then my chute to make unfold.

Suspension lines untangled be
and open my canopy.
From other jumpers float me clear,
As safely down I persevere.

On angel’s wings, I hit the ground.
My Father’s favor, I have found.
In thanks, St. Michael I do pray.
For God has helped me–ALL THE WAY.

Amen

“For It’s Devil this and Devil That”

For it’s devil this and devil that,
If you’re wantin’ to be friends.
Just keep the coffee comin’ boys
And pass the M & M’s

Now devil six has often said
Do the thing and do it right.
The staff does everything it does
During the decent duty night.

For it’s devil this and devil that,
We ain’t lookin’ for no breaks.
But why is it that devil six
Can find all our mistakes?

He wrote up this here azimuth plan
To show us all the way.
We’re thankful, for it gives the staff
Something to do each day.

For it’s devil this and devil that,
We don’t mind the working late.
But I’d like to see my son before
He’s a college graduate.

When devil six says “regiment” —
He says it quite a lot —
He doesn’t mean brigade, you know,
A brigade is what it’s not.

For it’s devil this and devil that,
And when we go to war
We’ll not be goin’ with the First Brigade
But with the 504.
